I understand and accept that participation in shooting activities involves significant risks. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for my actions and any resulting consequences.
I, the undersigned, hereby indemnify and hold harmless Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club (“the Club”), its staff, Board of Directors, members, and non-members from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages that may arise as a result of my participation in activities at the Club or while on its property.
I acknowledge and accept that the sport of shooting carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bodily harm, dismemberment, or death. By signing this agreement, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with shooting activities and agree to adhere to the following rules and guidelines at all times:
Ammunition Restrictions:
Only 7.5, 8, or 9 lead shot with 3 drams or less of powder (Target Loads) is permitted.
NO Game loads. Game Loads are strictly prohibited to ensure the safety of all participants and prevent projectiles from carrying across the course to shooters on the other side of the course.
Protective Equipment:
Eye and ear protection are mandatory for all individuals on Club property, including shooters and spectators.
Protective glasses must be worn at all times, especially while on trails. We shoot into the center of a circle, better safe than sorry.
Firearm Handling:
All firearm breaches must remain open and all guns are to be unloaded at all times.
I will never point or swing my firearm at or past myself or another person, regardless of whether the firearm is loaded or unloaded.
Only when I am standing on the shooting station can I load up to 2 Shells Maximum when my firearm is aiming thru the shooting window; safely down-range. After shooting, My breech is to be opened before I step off of the designated shooting station. Any Minors Must be accompanied by an adult during this process close enough to take control of the firearm if necessary and can load a maximum of 1 shell to reduce risk to those nearby if they lose their balance or drop the firearm because of the recoil of the shot.
Firearms must not be shouldered inside the clubhouse. (Do not bring the stock of the firearm near the shoulder assuming an aiming stance while indoors.)
To be on the property, I will adhere to All Club Rules at All Times: I will follow all rules established by Grand Blanc Huntsman’s Club and its employees at all times.
